Hello! To celebrate Valentine’s Day, I actually participated in a bookathon than ran from the 1st to 14th of February. I’m so proud to say that I’ve now completed my first ever book/read-a-thon! I didn’t get to finish all the books I intended to read, but I did enjoy the ones I managed to. Here are some quick thoughts on the books I read.

Erilea – A series with great world-building
I think The Mortal Instruments had great world-building. I could clearly visualise how the locations in the book looked and had a good understanding of the systems and rivalries in the Shadow World.
Hi everyone! I decided to do weekly updates on my reading progress and also what I’m looking to read in the following week.
This week, I finished up The Great Gatsby. It wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it be. It took me way longer than usual to finish the book and was just a struggle in general.
I also started on By Your Side this morning. It’s a really easy read and I’m already 86% into it. I’m hoping to finish it soon in order to finish up all the 6 books on my V-day Readathon TBR.
I’m planning on reading another contemporary next because I’m not really in a reading mood and contemporaries are light reads. I’ll probably pick up either Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour or You Know Me Well.

Hey hey hey! This week’s theme for Top 5 Wednesday is current favourites that aren’t books. I decided to do a post on my January favourites since the month just ended. So without further ado, let’s get started.
1) Favourite Anime: Yuri on Ice
Lots of people have been praising Yuri on Ice since it started last year, which drove me to watch it. I’m glad to say that I really enjoyed the anime. Yuri on Ice is about ice skating, and Yuri’s fight to win the Grand Prix. On his journey, he meets Viktor, who becomes his coach. The relationship between Yuri and Viktor was extremely adorable, and the animation was also beautiful, so I’d definitely recommend it. Hopefully, there’ll be a season 2 soon.
2) Favourite Artist: Imagine Dragons
I’ve always liked Imagine Dragons, so this isn’t a new discovery or anything. However, I haven’t listened to their songs in a long time. Last month, I decided on a whim to listen to their songs on Spotify while reading and it just reminded me how good Imagine Dragon’s music is.
3) Favourite App: Buzzfeed
I’ve always enjoyed Buzzfeed quizzes and because I was on holiday in January, I decided to download the Buzzfeed app for entertainment. I really love how you can get the latest news, fun content and lots of laughs all in one place. I don’t go on there everyday, but when I do, I’m never disappointed.
4) Favourite IG Account: @thegraytergood
Something I’m trying to pick up is hand-lettering. I’ll admit that I slack off (a lot) when it comes to practice, but I do enjoy looking at other people’s work. @thegraytergood posts often, and has really cute hand-lettering that makes me so jealous 😁
5) Favourite Hobby: Coding
I finally got into coding again last month, and it’s definitely one of the highlights of January! Coding is something I’ve been doing for a few years, but I only started seriously picking it up last year. Due to all my other commitments, I had to put my online coding course on hold, though, and I only got back to it last month. I hope to learn all that I can about coding so I can create pretty web pages.
It feels really weird posting something non-bookish on here, but I hope you got to know me better through this post 😊
