Valentine’s Day Book-A-Thon Wrap Up

Hello! To celebrate Valentine’s Day, I actually participated in a bookathon than ran from the 1st to 14th of February. I’m so proud to say that I’ve now completed my first ever book/read-a-thon! I didn’t get to finish all the books I intended to read, but I did enjoy the ones I managed to. Here are some quick thoughts on the books I read.

Tag Tuesday: Musical Theatre Book Tag

Happy Tuesday everyone! I came across this tag awhile back on books amino and it seemed fun. Plus, I do enjoy musicals, so I thought I’d do this tag this week. This post contains spoilers of the Six of Crows duology, The Night Circus and the Divergent series.

1) Wicked – Favourite fictional friendship
My favourite friendship would probably be between Nina and Inej. They’re both so supportive of the other and it’s always fun when they are together. Continue reading “Tag Tuesday: Musical Theatre Book Tag”

So far, I’m keeping up pretty well with my goal to do at least one review per month this year, which makes me really happy. I guess the books I’ve read so far are pretty good, so I actually have stuff to say about them. Anyway, here’s my review on Illuminae.

Tag Tuesday: Throne of Glass Tag

Hello everyone! Throne of Glass is one of my favourite series of all time, so I thought it’d be fitting for me to do this tag.

Erilea – A series with great world-building
I think The Mortal Instruments had great world-building. I could clearly visualise how the locations in the book looked and had a good understanding of the systems and rivalries in the Shadow World.

Weekly Update (05/02/17)

Hi everyone! I decided to do weekly updates on my reading progress and also what I’m looking to read in the following week.

This week, I finished up The Great Gatsby. It wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it be. It took me way longer than usual to finish the book and was just a struggle in general.

I also started on By Your Side this morning. It’s a really easy read and I’m already 86% into it. I’m hoping to finish it soon in order to finish up all the 6 books on my V-day Readathon TBR.

I’m planning on reading another contemporary next because I’m not really in a reading mood and contemporaries are light reads. I’ll probably pick up either Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour or You Know Me Well.

That’s all I have to update you all on for this week. I hope you had a great reading week and will have an awesome one next week! Bye!
